You cannot earn this gift with good deeds or by simply being "good" (Ephesians 2:8; 1 Timothy 1:9). Salvation is a matter of faith (receiving and confessing into your heart God's Son Jesus and His Word and acting on YOUR DECISION to believe according to God's Word).
As you receive Jesus into your heart ... you, your spirit being, is born-again, re-created by God ... in His image!
Evidence of change in your life begins as you hear, read, listen, believe, receive, speak and act on God's Word over your life. God is ready for you. His Son Jesus died and rose again so that you can live with Him now and for all eternity (Matthew 20:28; John 10:10). If you don't know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, pray this prayer expecting God to fill your heart and life to the fullest with His love, freedom and victories. As you confess with your mouth and believe with your heart, you will be "born-again" (Romans 10:9, 10). You will meet Jesus!
Lord Jesus, I need You in my life, I believe You are the Son of God and that You died on the cross for me. Please forgive me for my sins and create a clean heart in me. Renew my spirit so that I can hear Your voice. I accept You as my Savior! You are my Lord! (Acts 2:21; Romans 10:9-10) You said, "If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." I do that now. I confess that Jesus is Lord, and I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead. Now, I praise You Lord for all You have done for me!
